Lamarand Splash Pad

The Jeffrey Lamarand Splash Field is located inside Heritage Park, between the Sheridan Center Open Air Pavilion and the Activity Building. It is a unique baseball-themed splash park ideally suited for children 12 and under. It is open during the spring and summer.

The fenced-in splash pad area also has a playscape for children to enjoy. On site as well is a private, fenced-in party area available for rent. Information and pricing available below:

  • Taylor resident all ages $2 (children 1 & over and adults) 
  • Non-Taylor Resident $5  (children 1 & over and adults) 
  • Children under the age of 1 are free
  • Taylor Resident Season Pass Family of 5 $50
  • Non-Taylor Resident Season Pass Family of 5 $90

PARTIES


Splash Pad Birthday Party $225 (3 hour window, offered noon-3 and 4-7 p.m.) and deposit of $100. Rental includes 12 participants. Additional children $2 each.

PLEASE NOTE: All rentals must be completed (deposit and rental fee paid in full and permit/application filled out and turned in) no later than one week before the date of the rental/event. Failure to comply may result in loss of date/booking.

SPLASH PAD WILL BE CLOSED DURING THE TAYLOR SUMMER FESTIVAL AND IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER

History

The splash pad is dedicated to the late Mayor Jeffrey Lamarand, who passed away in October 2014. Mr. Lamarand started the overall Sheridan Center renovations. Mr. Lamarand’s wife, Mishelle, daughter Jillian and son Nash attended the council meeting as the City announced the dedication of the future splash pads.

The new splash pad area is customized as a baseball diamond, thanks to Taylor’s deep tradition of Little League baseball and the Junior League World Series, which is held in Heritage Park every year. It feature as scoreboard, elevated baseballs, bases and base paths and much more.

The splash pads use a regular water feed - the water will not be recycled within its system. This phase of the project will be funded out of the building and grounds fund.
