The Taylor Water and Sewer Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of 308 miles of water main and over 248 miles of sanitary sewer mains.
The Water Department provides many customer service activities, offers information regarding safe water issues of concern to residents, and handles all meter reading within the city. Our Automated Meter Reading System enables us to read water meters without having to enter a home or business. It also helps to reduce and/or eliminates the need for all estimated bills.
Should you receive an estimated bill (indicated by an "E" on your water bill), please contact the Customer Assistance Center to schedule an appointment so that any mechanical problem (such as a dead battery or loose wire) can be corrected. Water accounts are billed on a bimonthly basis. Water bills with an "A" indicate that they are based on actual reads.
Payments made in person must be made at the Cashier's Office at:
Taylor City Hall
23555 Goddard Road
Taylor MI 48180
Please contact us at 734-287-6550 for questions or information on the status of your water account, scheduling of appointments, setting up final water reads, customer service calls, water taps, restoration concerns, water main breaks, and general water questions.
