Michigan State University announced its plans for the spring 2021 semester in a letter to students on October 22. The university plans on offering more in-person classes, with a focus on classes that students need to graduate on time. That and more in the Wayne County Report for October 23, 2020.
According to a report by Click on Detroit, this fall only around 40 in-person classes were offered. In the spring, the university expects to offer about 400 in-person classes. The university will require students living on campus, and undergraduate students coming to campus to participate in a COVID-19 Early Detection Program.
According to the countywide health data release October 22, 2020, Taylor recorded 2 new cases of COVID-19, upping its overall total to 1,160. No deaths were recorded. That total remains at 82.
