GoImpact360, a Downriver-based religious volunteer group, will offer senior citizens, the disabled and veterans in the Downriver area free leaf cleanup this year, from November 10-24.
The group was created almost a decade ago by approximately 50 teenagers seeking to aid needy communities. They started Downriver, and as they expanded their numbers, they started to branch out. They visited one of the poorest areas in America, Maytown, Kentucky, for nine years, sending hundreds of volunteers into that region to physically, mentally and spiritually improve the community.
Currently, GoImpact360 is focused on three areas: Downriver; Susani, Romania; and Detroit. They have done everything from raking yards and cleaning parks to buying groceries and helping build community centers.
They are currently seeking nominations of senior citizens, disabled and veterans who either live in Taylor or the surrounding Downriver communities for their November cleanups.
