The First
Day
Skaters and parents should
arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled class time to
give enough time to get skates on and pick up your name badge.
Specific class information and instructor assignments will be prominently
displayed in the lobby. Once skaters are ready to go on the
ice, they may line up with their instructor for attendance.
Equipment
We provide both hockey
and figure skates to LTS participants free of charge to use during
class! You can bring your own skates from home, but we do
require a single blade skate for all skaters.
Helmets are strongly encouraged
for all skating participants. A standard bicycle helmet with
chin strap is acceptable.
Clothing
Comfortable, flexible,
and warm clothing including hats and cloves/mittens are recommended
for all skaters. Beginner skaters should wear loose fitting
pants while learning how to safely fall and stand back up.
Practice
Pass
All Skaters receive a
Practice Pass which enables participants to attend any of our Public
Skating sessions at no charge. In some cases, we provide an
additional 10 minutes after class for skaters to practice what they
just learned on their own! |
